and im spent!

Photobucket

so i just got home from working an almost 10 hours shift and now im relaxing with a bottle of sierra nevada celebration seasonal ale. oh man was it a crazy day. our trader joes just switched locations a block away to a whole new much bigger store. for the last month it has been a crazy process, totally setting up the nes store and stocking our selves. and today we opened our doors to all, it was quite sad really, one person was waiting at the doors when we opened. but then it got crazy busy!! and i was on the floor all day, stocking the refrigerated sections (we call this "the wall") and running all around.
when i was on break i stopped in bed bath and beyond which is in our new shopping center and picked up my third color from the revlon matte lipstick collection. i can not recommend this lipstick more, they have wonderful colors (the "wine not" is awesome) and it stays on all day. matte is the best when it comes to lip color, and my new one "really red" is just what i was looking for. i also stopped in ulta, also in our shopping center and had to stop myself from making a $10 nail polish impuls buy.
sos as you can read, this isn't much of a fashion related post, just kind of a "this is my day" ramble. some good news, golden fur vintage is now sponsoring fancy fine and i couldn't be happier! this is my first time sponsoring a blog, and i think pairing up with ashley for the month of december is the best choice i could have made. december is a great month for me, well really only because it holds my birthday, december 17th ;) im really excited about this new endeavor, and i hope my readers are too!
well, back to relaxing and maybe listing some more things in my shop if can bring myself to do any more work. goodnight!

new england summer trip

Photobucket

so right now its 5 am, im sitting on the couch, theres a cat in my lap and one one the couch next to me. woke up a bit ago, and i cant sleep for some reason. so i took the time to look through my iphoto and realized i never made a post about the trip to maine and boston that i took with my mom and sister over the summer! it was a really amazing beautiful trip, the maine part of it anyway. we took a ferry from long island to connecticut, then drove up to maine many many hours. we stayed in bar harbor, on the island where acadia national park takes up most of the land, and got to go to the very top of cadillac mountain. its the first thing sunlight touches when it rises on the east coast. crazy! and beautiful.
then we drove back back down, stopping in boston for two days, simply because we hadn't been there in a long time and i never really got to see it. quite nice town! a lovely vacation over all. it was hard to edit these photos to put on here, i took so so many. but either way this is still a very image heavy post, so ill let the photos do the talking.
(keep in mind, my little sister is quite the animated character, makes many faces and hate when i hug her.. you will see. but we had fun talking photos together. i wish i had her around all the time to take my outfit photos, shes quite good hah)

a peek inside

Photobucket

so saturday my boyfriend and i spent the day cleaning our living room, and me cleaning my closet. both really needed it. we are both kind of slobs, just a little. and so we need to work on putting things away before they get out of control. my closet was stuffed full of boxes of things still need to be hung up (i moved in like 3 months ago and still had a lot to get it.. i have A LOT of clothes) boxes of things i intend to sell, and a box of two of things i already have listed in my etsy.
so i though i would take this chance to show you some of what our place looks like. the living room and the closet anyway. it really starting to come along in this place and not look so much like the bro pad it once was.

the $3.99 succulent garden i mentioned a few posts back, a nice new milk gladd lamp i got that you cant really see well, a cat candle i have had for maybe 10 years, the ouija thing to the ouija bored that hidden in my closet somewhere.

handbags and hat boxes which need to be better displayed

just some of my shoes, they all seem to be in the brown family which totally sucks sometimes. but i do like the combo of black and brown above all, so i guess its not too bad to never have black shoes to wear with hat all black outfit.

black and brown

Photobucket

last night i took a drive into the city to meet up with nicole of fashion forestry, her and her husband came to new york for a visit (only their second time ever to the big apple!) and i got the wonderful chance of meeting them both! she had posted on her blog how she was coming on short notice and would be in for a few days. i love meeting new people, and i have been a reader of hers for a while, so i figured why not!
we really hit it off, if i do say so myself. we have a lot in common, like our love of eggs, and interest in aliens ;) we went out to eat at this place called bill's gay 1890's which used to be a speakeasy back in 1924! it was really nice, good food and lovely photos of victorian ladies on the walls.
then after that we went into brooklyn to meet up with hannah and landon which was a real nice surprise because i hadn't seen them since the beginning of october i believe. we did some bad things, like drink some four lokos! and eat potato chips. it was a fun night, im sure nicole with have some good photos of the time once shes back home next week.
im really happy i got to meet her, shes real sweet and its wild to see her great style in person! i hope you come back again soon nicole! or better yet, i make it out to the west coast for a visit. your definitely on my list of bloggers to see on my blogger meet up road trip next summer (just an idea im toying with, im over due for a road trip across the country, and stopping to see many bloggers i admire is my main to-do! who wants to house me for a couple of days when i come around next summer? ill go anywhere... if it happens)
