Brimfirld massachusetts antique fair

this past weekend i took a lone 3 hour drive up to palmer massachusetts to see my friends chris and courtney. iv known them for quite some time, years actually, but have only met them once before pretty recently. ali and i came across courtneys photography a few years back, a d have been inspired by her since. and then recently they came to new work, invited us to go to a show with them, and we hit it off just like we knew we would.
so a few weeks later when the brimfield antique show was going to be going on we all got invited up to go with, and spend the weekend at their really lovely house with their three silly dogs, two great cats, and even two bunnies! turns out i was the only one able to go so i took the trek alone.
i cant even begin to explain how amazing brimfield was. it was huge. huger than huge. and just when you thought you had seen it all, there was more. way more. we spent six hours walking up and down the road it was on, making our way back into the fields, picking and choosing tents to go too based on a quick glance, and then hoping we didnt just pass up something amazing. but i mean, you were surrounded by amazing things. anything you could ever imagine having to do with antique and vintage and pre used and loved, it was here.
personally, i was on the look out for clothes. there was quite a bit of it too. most of it over priced..or ya know, those vintage prices. but im looking for cheep. i planed on being able to spend quite a bit, but i like to get the most bang for my buck. iv always been that way and i just cant bring myself to spend $25 on each thing i get. not that thats a bad price for vintage, its rather good actually...but i shop at thrift stores where most things are $2...so i have a problem. luckily we came across a few sellers who had very cheep prices and i left with 3 shopping bags full of lovely things.
i wish i got the chance to take some more photos, these ones dont really do it justice..but some sellers didnt want you taking pictures of their things..and i was too busy searching around and sweater to death to take out m camera every time i was something amazing...which was around every turn practically.

me, happy as a clam in the most amazing tent ever. beautiful beautiful things. so many sheer bias dresses in every beautiful pastel floral you could thing of. i just wanted to live and die in that tent. maybe hang around till the closing of the week, see how much she wanted for all her beautiful things then. maybe by that point i could actually afford something!

this lady stopped me from taking photos, she had some lovely things.

heres just two shots i got of courtney and chris' place i wanted to take more cause it was such an amazing house. it used to be a horse barn, and it was beautiful. a huge field out back, lovely gardens all around. their house decorated perfectly. i just felt strange taking a million shots of their home. but take my word for it, it was lovely!

these next ones are all by courtney. i was so excited to model for her. it was just kinda of nonchalant as we had a nice picnic and explored. but it was great since i have been looking at her photography for so long to finally be a part of it. and i sure hope its not the last time!

i cant wait to go back. brimfield is happening around in july, and once more in september i think. so i definitely need to make another trip up there. if not for searching for great finds, then for visiting some great friends and beautiful mountains.
