The Cloisters

Photobucket

Today I had a little lady date with Liz going to Fort Tryon park and The Cloisters all the way up north on Manhattan in Washington Heights. The park is this AMAZING place located up at 190th street and is a beautiful sight to see, it's hard to even believe you are still in Manhattan when you are there. Amazing views of the Hudson and NJ across the way, the park is on an old fault line and is basically a huge stone hill surrounded by city. I only snapped one photo which you can see down below, but the place is filled with walkways and amazing stone work, and houses The Cloisters which is a branch of the MET devoted to Medieval art.

The weather was amazing, slightly chilly with the first real scent of fall in the air. I have been working on my fall outfits, but I fear I still need to bundle up a bit more! This cute floral vintage sweater just wasn't cutting it as soon as the sun started to set, but I felt it was a good transition piece none the less. Had to wear my suede skirt from a few days ago again, and remember when I was wearing bows around my neck all the time back in the spring? Well expect to see a lot of that again now that I'm sure I'll be buttoning up to stay warm more often!

Love this whole look. The tie around your neck makes it almost look like a cape and not a sweater! I loved the instagram pictures from the Cloisters. So pretty!
